Card Suit Twins: Diamonds

Ever since I wore my King and Queen of Hearts outfits in London, I've had the idea rattling around in my head that I might do outfits based on the other card suits as well.

Twin outfits has been a theme I liked ever since I first got into lolita fashion, and particularly matching Lolita and Ouji pairs.

Over the past month, I've done a few sketches of what I wanted them to look like and now have plans for all four sets!

Today, we have the Diamonds:

Spanish Lolita Alliance Twinning Challenge

My friend Bárbara is part of the Spanish Lolita Alliance, and asked me to take part in their latest challenge with her!
The challenge was to create twin co-ords with someone, and it so happens we both have matching Vampire Requiem prints.
Because I coudln't decide if I wanted to use the skirt, or the JSK, I went with making us triplets.

Haunted Vampire Photoshoot and Vlog

The cathedral we are near is next to an old hopsital and in front of the Necropolis.
The weird noises and camera glitches we experienced all might MUST have been ghosts... right?

Elf-Ear Headphones Review

These appeared for a hot minute all over every social media site, then promptly vanished again. To my knowledge. But I really liked them, and decided to look up a pair for myself.

At first I tried to find an original designer, or original producer for these. Since all the buying options were very cheap, and my gut reaction was to assume they were a knockoff of something else.
I didn't find anything however, so I went for the cheap Ebay listing.
(if you know of an "original" version of these, please let me know!)

They cost £9.99, free shipping, and arrived in 4 days.
They came in a little rectangular box with both sides displayed nicely inside.

The ear parts themselves are soft sillicone, making them surprisingly comfortable to wear.
Unfortunately they do not come in any other colour. I don't know how easy they'd be to paint or dye, but it might be worth a try.

They can be a little tricky to put on at first, because of the way the wire has to curve back on itself, but once they're on, they stay on, even if you take the speaker part out of your ear.
The speaker parts have soft sillicone parts that shape to your ear, so they cancell out other sounds very well.

Overall, I really like these. They're cute, comfortable, work well and were cheap and easy to get.
So far the only real down side is that they only come in one colour.

Let me know what you think of them in a comment!

"Dream Masquerade Carnival" in London

Last weekend, I went down to London for the Tea party Club's last ever big lolita event; "Dream Masquerade Carnival". The special guests this year were Angelic Pretty designers Maki and Asuka.

These events ran ever year for ten years, and despite having been in the fashion the enitre time, I never went to one before. Partially out of sickness, and not feeling able to handle the travel and event. But I am glad to have been able to attend one of them now.

During the event, I had to opportunity to model for ShinkuRose.
I have bought accessories from her before, and was happy she chose me to be one of her models!
