LBC: One Main Piece, Two Different Looks

This week's Lolita Blog carnival topic is "One Main Piece, Two Drastically Different Outfits".
It sounded like a fun challenge, so I thought I'd give it a shot!

(also, I had some cleaning and studying to do today, and this seemed like more fun...)

I cheated slightly, and made my "main piece" two items - the shirt and waistcoat combo are my main piece for both outfits.

Waistcoat: AATP
Shirt: BPN
Skirt: AATP
Socks: Metamorphose
Headbow: BTSSB
Roses: Offbrand

Waistcoat: AATP
Shirt: BPN
Shorts: Bodyline
Hat: Miho Masuda
Socks: Metamorphose

I actually struggled to make two 'drastically' dfferent outfits. The two here were the best I could do, and honestly they don't feel differen't enough to be considered 'drastically different' imho.
But pretty much all my clothes are black or white with red details. The few that deviate from that are black or white with green details...
I don't have very much variance in my wardrobe.

But I tried!

And now I suppose I should go back to cleaning....

Holographic Glitter Freckles

Glitter Freckles - basically the same thing as the glow in the dark stars, but with holographic glitter instead!

I tried to keep the rest of the makeup relatively simple, to make the glitter the focus.

Black and White Twin Outfits

"Identical Opposites", or twin outfits in opposite colours is not a new idea, but it's a theme I really enjoy in lolita fashion.

As planning for a potential upcoming photoshoot that would be based on this theme, I decided to plan two matching outfits that were also opposites. One black and one white, to keep it simple.
The whole concept was absed around the thigh high boots, which I have matching pairs of in black and white, and the Medusa Coture bonnets which I also have in both black and white.

I've avoided wearing these boots, since getting them signed by Aurelio Voltaire back in 2012 when he played here in Glasgow, but I think it's time to start wearing them again.

Bonnet: Medusa Couture
Bat-Collar Jacket: laughing vampire
Skirt: Me Likes Tea
Boots: offbrand

Bonnet: Medusa Couture
Frill-Collar jacket: Vintage
Skirt: Victorian Maiden
Boots: Offbrand

Here's the makeup and outfit video for the look I wore to the Valentines Meetup

There's also a bonus "Nightime transformation" at the end, to show you how I quickly changed up the look to go clubbing after the meet.

Valentines Meetup 2017

Last weekend, Scot Loli went to the Mucha exhibit at kelvingrove museum for our Valentines meetup.

(on the left, is Emma and I imitating a picture we took way back in 2012: Warning, very old picutres through this link ;) )

It's been a few years since our last meetup here, and it is always a great location.

Thank you everyone who was there!

Blood Substitutes, a Vampire Vlog

The first "Vampire Vlog" of 2017. This time, Barney the Bampire has a lesson of blood substitutes.

Sicne the beginning of time, vampires have tried to substitute human blood with other stuff. Mostly to cut down on the body count...

This vlog is about Blood Substitutes throguh the ages, from the very old (above)
to the very modern (below)

Would YOU drink something that glows like that?!

Vintage Vampire Movie Photoshoot + Vlog

Earlier this week I worked with Tacetlens on a photoshoot themed around vintage horror movies.
He was really nice and fun to work with, and also was comfortable with my youtube antics. So I have a photoshoot vlog for you!

Here are some of the pictures from the shoot. More will be coming shortly!

Nun Lolita in Converted Church

Last week I had the pleasure of working with Anastazia MacCorgarry on a photoshoot in part of a converted church.

She particularly wanted a vintage look, and I chose a nun-like outfit to suit the setting.

Weird art video, the sequel that glows.

Last year, I made THIS weird little horror video from clips taken at a photoshoot.

This year, I decided to make a kind-of sequel out of clips I took while messing about with a UV light.

This effect was so cool, I even made a wee gif out of it.

And while I was making gifs anyway, I did one of this clip taken by Stuart at our last photoshoot:

Glow In The Dark Star Freckles

Twice in two weeks, I've worn glowing stars all over my face. It's great and I highly reccomend it.

The first time was to photoshoot with Stuart Crawford usning a black light and other Uv pigments.
(by the end of it, I looked more like this.....)

The stars themselves are nail art decals bought off eBay. They are stuck on with eyelash glue.
The other pigments are the "Pinkest Pink" and "Greenest Green" pigments from
